Laia López Ramírez, soprano

Laia López is a Spanish soprano based in the Netherlands. In 2024, she graduated cum laude from her Bachelor's program at the Prins Claus Conservatoire in Groningen, where she studied with Hanneke de Wit and Paul Triepels. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at the HKU Conservatoire in Utrecht under the guidance of Selma Harkink.

During her studies, she participated in masterclasses with Margreet Honig, Paul McNamara, Maarten Koningsberger, Nico van der Meel, Ofèlia Sala, and Jordi Domènech.

As a soloist, she has performed at events such as the Aurora Festival 2025 and 2024, the Grachtenfestival, and Opera aan Zee. Her operatic roles include Suor Dolcina in Suor Angelica (Puccini), Belinda in Dido & Aeneas (Purcell), Pamina and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart). She has also performed works, including Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Miroir de peine by H. Andriessen, Franck’s Sieben letzten Worte Christi am Kreuz, Mozart’s Requiem, Haydn’s Missa Cellensis, Handel’s Dixit Dominus, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu Nostri, Bach’s Magnificat and Pergonesi’s Stabat Mater. She has collaborated with conductors such as Geert-Jaan van Beijeren, Arnaud Oosterbaan and Pieta Maayeshi, and with ensembles including The Northern Consort and the Luthers Bach Ensemble.

She recently performed the role of Second Woman in Dido & Aeneas with Johannette Zomer at the Zomer Opera in Zutphen, and joined the DNO Young Baroque Voices in Dido & Aeneas at Dutch National Opera, a co-production with Nederlandse Reisopera and Opera Zuid, directed by Camille Delaforge, with the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and musicians of Il Caravaggio.
